So, you think you’re a bad ass? Prove it!

“It’s not what you buy, it’s what you build.”Rob Borden, Biker Atlas

Anybody can save up a wad of cash, and go buy a hot bike. Or finance one at the local dealership… Then pull up to Starbucks and park next to two other ones just like it… If that’s what you’re into, this challenge is not for you.

The “Blue Collar Build Off” is where creativity talks, and bullshit walks. Assemble a team of up to 4 people max, and pool together $1,500 and start gathering parts and a donor bike from your $1,500 budget. Once we say “Go”, you’ve got 30 days and whatever is left from your budget to build the baddest bike you can build. At the end of 30 days, you will meet at the start line in Sin City, and ride your bike to the Saddle Sore Ranch (approximately 150 miles south) for the judging, trophies, afterparty and weekend camping.

Harley guys have it easy. Old, used Harley stuff is easy to find. For that reason, there will be two classes in the show. Harley, and Non Harley. We will have custom made trophies from builders featured in Easyrider Magazine for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each class. We will also have a People’s Choice custom trophy for each class and a “SSR Favorite” trophy.

Alot of people will say it can’t be done for $1,500. Again, creativity talks, bullshit walks. This challenge is not for them. They don’t have what it takes. They are the ones that are probably parked at Starbucks. This is for down and dirty, nitty gritty, grease monkey bad asses. I guarantee you, the bikes in this competition will turn a whole lot more heads too.

So, there it is… Registration is free, and open now. Just email your team name and members names to
